About us

Community
1227 - lake (154)Thai Jungle Life is the dream of a group of 10 villagers, who decided together to build a place where tourists can enjoy trekking, bamboo rafting, and other activities in the jungle, together with local people, discovering our culture, traditions and environment in a rich and respectful way. Often traditional tourism leaves permanent marks on pristine location, destabilizing local communities: people instead of collaborating started to compete. We want to avoid this, that’s why from the very beginning we create ideas, build the place and make all decisions together. We are supported by all villagers, who find themselves confortable with community based tourism and mutual aid aiming at improving the lives of local people and protect nature. Most of us works as farmers, we have rubber and palm tree plantations, which are our basic source of income. Beside that, we spend our time on fishing and growing organic food, which we use just for our needs.
